![]() | I moved from another area of the city where I loved my branch library. I was concerned that I wouldn't find that same kind of setting -- where the community gathers and all sorts of folks spend time researching, reading, and just generally enjoying the library's space. I was glad to find that the Westbank library's membership outreach extended as far as my new neighborhood and have spent 4 years reveling in the ease with which I can borrow CDs for a road trip or turn over favorite books to be enjoyed by others. The branch library will make that same wonderful environment available to so many more people, especially teens and children -- and it's right in my neighborhood! How lucky can I get!-Sarah Bentley |

![]() | We grew up with you....Early on we committed to the growth and success of the Westbank Community Library by opting for our square foot - a paver engraved with the words above. Years before, our toddlers often begged to climb the winding staircase to the library located in the Chase Bank Building. Then we transitioned to research assignments, study sessions, and best seller reading at the current location. Still readers and and now empty nesters, I guess you could say, "We are growing 'older' with you." Thanks to the Westbank Community Library for all that you are! -Christine and Gordon Gorychka |
![]() | [The Westbank Library donates books to Pickle Elementary's Book Drive Days...] It has been one of the most rewarding volunteer experiences I've been involved with. At our last drive, we had one child that was hugging and kissing his book while walking back to his classroom. We also had another teacher tell us that she had been to one of her student's homes, and the only book they had in their home was one we gave them last year. It really makes me stop and reflect on what we take for granted. -Brooks Schuelke |

![]() | When we moved to Austin in 1993, we asked our real estate agent to show us houses near a library. My first "adventure" with a library started when I was seven and could have my own library card. Reading has been my very favorite thing to do ever since. The Westbank Community Library is such a gift and just happens to be the best library in my experience, and I have used many all over the continental U. S. and at overeseas duty stations with the U. S. Navy. These are our grandsons who are also starting to love to read. With the new branch library on Cuernavaca many more patrons can enjoy and fall in love with a new "adventure."-Bobby and Carolyn Farrar |
